 This is the Basque Country, where I am from. I have been lucky enough to be born and raised on the Uribe Coast of the Southern Basque Country, where we are Basque-Spanish bilinguals.

📖 Basque has been endangered for centuries, and during the 20th century, it was forbidden due to Franco's dictatorship. In the 70s, a considerable revitalization movement started to promote Basque and make it available in schools. However, it is only co-official in half of the Southern Basque Country. In Navarre, it is partially, and in the Northern Basque Country, it is not, since France does not recognize anything but French. 

In short, I am a proud Basque speaker, daughter of the process of revitalization since I acquired it through schooling! 🤓 Welcome to the project!!! 💫
